After hours of searching through wedding videos online, we settled up-on Curious Robin Films to video our wedding in December 2016 and we could not be more happy with our choice! Rob is an absolute professional and takes serious pride in what he does. From our initial meeting, the relaxed way he and the other videographer made us feel on the day, right through to receiving the end product (which was wonderfully packaged!), things could not have been better!

The production quality of the final product far surpassed our hopes and expectations, Rob really managed to capture the day and every emotion. We watched so many other wedding videographers videos that just seem to offer ‘generic’ videos. You can really tell the difference when it comes to Curious Robin Films, just watch some and see.

Again, thanks so much to Rob and his team, we loved re-watching our special day and will cherish our wedding video for years to come.

We’ve been in the process of separating all the non-wedding content out of this site (our new commercial brand is Simmerdim – go check it out) and last to be updated is the first thing anyone sees – our highlight banner reel. We’re not really into creating a showreel for the wedding company, as we […]

This week we’ve been diving into the technicalities of our wedding film aesthetics. As you’ll know from our previous post, we’ve just upgraded to a new camera. The Sony a7sii is more capable than the Canon DSLRs we shot with in many areas but one novel one is its dynamic range and picture profiles. We […]

Christmas, the season of good cheer, feasting, terrible office secret Santa and evergreen movies. Here at the Robin’s Nest, we are massive Christmas movies fans. Mainly because they a.) are usually joyous; and b.) often hugely profound (well some are). They’ve even perhaps subtly influenced our editing when it comes to winter weddings. So here, […]

Dunkirk, the most anticipated film of the summer, seems to be something of a marmite film for the critics. But we’re going to lay our cards on the table and say that it is one of the finest films made in the last decade. Marmite film? It seems that this film either grabs you, or […]

Wedding videography is the place to be if you want to learn quickly. The pressure of needing to catch the moments, exposed and composed well, is intense. It is run’n’gun at its purest. So the systems need to be compact and versatile. The capability of cameras systems has shot up in recent years. Panasonic are […]

Scotland was recently voted as the World’s #1 Cinematic Destination by readers of USA Today. Wouldn’t it be great to get married in a real location which you know from the silver screen? In Scotland, if you opt for a Humanist ceremony, you can get married anywhere. So dramatic locations such as The Quiraing or […]
